This major and because of the location- it was my dream school! I had dreamed of going to FIT since I was a little girl. When I got into the school it was an obvious yes. I had always wanted to live in NY and work here post-graduation.

Course Curriculum

10

It's not as hard as you would imagine but takes a lot of discipline, showing up on time, and participating in class. The course week is never too hard though. It's all about taking notes, being well informed on what?s going on and handing in work on time.

Exams

I took the SAT and ACT in high school. I didn't have to take any entrance exams to get into FIT luckily.

Placement

10

The job rate out of FIT is VERY high. That was a reason that brought me to choose this school as well. I believe it?s more than 75% that place jobs in their field post-graduation with a 4-year degree. In the growing industry of advertising and marketing, I hope I get so lucky.

Internship

Yes they do, I have never personally done an internship through my school but I have heard good things through my classmates and their experiences with their internships in the industry they enjoy. My school has a lot of connections so that's a plus.

Events

10

My school does a lot of events for civility and sustainability. It shows that they are working to create a better world and the people in it. They'll do events that include food, games, live music and stuff to bring in a lot of students for these informative events.

Fees

Since I live out of state the fees are about $10,000 per semester not including room and board and other necessities. With student aid from the government, I end up paying around $5000. I pay per semester in a payment plan to avoid extra loans.

Scholarship

Yes, I have FAFSA which is government student aid. It's a lot of online forums to show how much your family makes and how much you need for school based on income and other factors. I have not done any additional scholarship but I probably should have.

Examination Structure

My school mostly does projects in class rather than exams but we always have a midterm and final. Besides that, at the teachers choice, we have quizzes and exams throughout the semester that correlate to what we are learning.

Faculty

10

The faculty is very well knowledge and I like how our school hires professors who have worked in the field prior to teaching and they know what they are talking about and can really explain things on a personal level to their students.

Hostel

10

I currently live at my home I grew up in NJ. It's about 2 hours from the school and I take NJ transit into the city for class. It helps cut living costs in NY and avoids me having to buy a meal plan, pay for subways, etc. my school has a lot of options but this was my choice.
