Scheller College of Business International Student Admissions

For admission to the school the undergraduate official transcripts can be mailed directly to the college or submitted electronically (recommended) using Common App or another service like Parchment, SCOIR, SLATE, Naviance, Maia Learning, or GA Futures. Graduate applicants can submit their transcripts directly from the issuing school to transcripts@grad.gatech.edu. or via eScrip-SAFE, National Student ClearingHouse, and Digitary. The recommendation letters must be directly submitted by recommenders. Personal recommendation letters are discouraged. Standardized test scores can be submitted directly from the testing center. SAT/ACT are encouraged to be self-reported on the common app. The applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

• Official academic transcripts from previously attended academic institutions with certified English translation. (Indian undergraduate Applicants require 10th board result & 11th internal marks. The predicted 12th board result is highly recommended. To enroll in the undergraduate program, 12th board result credentials are essential.)
• English language proficiency proof
• GRE/GMAT (if applicable)
• Statement of purpose
• Personal essays
• Resume/CV (masters applicants)
• Recommendation letters – required for graduate applicants and optional for undergraduate applicants.
• Work experience – recommended for graduate applicants

English Language Proficiency Requirements

US Visa for International Students

After applicants receive the I-20 form, they can apply for a visa 4 months before the beginning of the program. I-20 form is received for a study visa for the USA, which best fits the situation of students. After receiving the form, students are required to make an appointment with the US Embassy or Consulate. Below mentioned steps are required to be followed before the visa interview appointment-

• Pay SEVIS I-901 fee. Secure the payment receipt for future references.
• Complete the DS-160 form i.e. online visa application.
• Pay the visa application fee.

At the time of visa interview or visa appointment, students should bring the following documents-

• Official academic records & documents (CV/Resume, Thesis abstract & a summary of research activities)
• University acceptance letter/admission letter
• Valid passport copy for at least 6 months
• Application fee and SEVIS fee payment receipt
• DS-160 confirmation receipt
• English proficiency evidence
• Financial documentation along with bank statement or bank letter (financial resources verification)
• At the time of the interview, students should be prepared to describe their reason for being in America during the appointment. They must explain their aims and objectives for staying in the United States as well as their intention to return to their home country. For this purpose, family property documents depicting strong ties to the homeland can be demonstrated.

After a successful interview, students can expect their visa to be issued a little time later.
