All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jammu, popularly known as AIIMS Jammu, is a public institute established in 2020 in Vijaypur Town of Jammu. Being an Institution of National Importance in India, AIIMS Jammu is one of the top institutes for medical education and research. The institute is currently offering only one undergraduate program, i.e. MBBS with a total seat intake of 62 students. Admission to MBBS at AIIMS Jammu is solely based on the All-India Rank in NEET UG. The fee for MBBS at the institute is INR 5,856 for the entire course inclusive of both academic and hostel fees.   • Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31 of the admission year.

Ans. Yes, it is mandatory for the students to complete the one-year rotatory internship for MBBS in the last year of the course. The candidates will be awarded their MBBS degree only after they complete their internship successfully and clear all professional exams.

Ans. No, AIIMS Jammu currently doesn’t offer any other UG or PG program apart from MBBS since it is a recently established institute. The institute is expected to start other medical and paramedical programs just like other AIIMS soon.

The entire course fee for MBBS is INR 5,856 at all AIIMS in India including AIIMS Jammu.

  • The course fee is inclusive of the academic fees as well as the hostel fees.

Ques. Do I need to pay the entire fee at one time at AIIMS Jammu?

Ans. Yes, all the candidates who are offered admission at AIIMS Jammu have to pay the entire fee, i.e. INR 5,856 at the time of reporting for admission through cash only. The admission will be confirmed only when the fee amount is paid by the students. 

Ques. What is the fees for hostels at AIIMS Jammu?

Ans. Candidates don’t have to pay the hostel fees separately at AIIMS. It is already included in the course fee paid by the students. The one-time hostel rent is INR 990 for MBBS students and they also need to pay INR 1000 as hostel security which is also refundable.

Ans. Being one of the central government institutes, the fee for MBBS at AIIMS Jammu is the lowest in the country. AIIMS Jammu Admission

Admission to MBBS at AIIMS Jammu is entrance-based. The admission will be based on the rank obtained by the candidates in NEET UG on the All-India level. Candidates who will meet the set cutoff rank for their respective category at AIIMS Jammu will be allocated seats for admission through the centralized counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)
