About

Gujarat Biotechnology University was established on 2018 . The University offers 2 PostGraduate Courses namely MSc and PhD Programmes. MSc course is offered to students in 5 domains namely Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, and Environmental Biotechnology. The curriculum of the five MSc programs was designed by the University of Edinburgh.

Admission to both the courses are based on valid scores in GAT-B followed by a personal Interview around. The institute also provides a stipend of INR 5000 Per month.

Gujarat Biotechnology University Key Points

GBU Provides 2 Courses in the institute for the eligible candidates.
The flagship program of GBU is MSc, which is provided in 5 domains:
- Plant Biotechnology
- Animal Biotechnology
- Medical Biotechnology
- Industrial Biotechnology

The program is of the duration of 2 years/ 4 Semesters.

Students in their second, third and fourth semester spend most of 50%, 75% and 100% of their time in Laboratories for research work.

MSc	Plant Biotechnology	Eligibility: Candidates need to complete their Graduation from a recognized university. Candidates should make sure they score a minimum percentage. Applicants of all nationalities are allowed to participate in the admission procedure. Selection Procedure: Candidates are provided admission to the course on the basis of merit in the examination (70% weightage) as well as personal assessment (30% weightage).
	Animal Biotechnology	Eligibility: Candidates need to complete their Graduation from a recognized university. Candidates should make sure they score a minimum percentage. Applicants of all nationalities are allowed to participate in the admission procedure. Selection Procedure: Candidates are provided admission to the course on the basis of merit in the examination (70% weightage) as well as personal assessment (30% weightage).
	Medical Biotechnology	Eligibility: Candidates need to complete their Graduation from a recognized university. Candidates should make sure they score a minimum percentage. Selection Procedure: Candidates are provided admission to the course on the basis of merit list followed by personal Interview.

Students from other Universities: 5% seats are reserved for candidates of other Universities who have passed the qualifying examination.
