Akal University was established in 2015 and is located in Bathinda, Punjab. At present, the university offers BA, B.Sc and B.Com at UG level. Similarly, at PG level, MA, M.Sc and M.Com courses are offered. Integrated B.Ed programs are offered for four years duration. Akal University also offers Ph.D program in seven specializations.
- Application forms for all the courses are to be filled online and has to be submitted to the University office.
- A candidate may apply for more than one subject with separate application form and application fee for each course.
- For admission to BA, B.Com and B.Sc courses, candidates should have passed HSC with from recognized board with minimum 60% marks.
- Minimum Eligibility for PG courses is Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks.
- Selection of all the UG and PG courses is done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.

Akal University UG Admission 2023: BA, B.Sc., B.Com
At Undergraduate level, AU offers three-year of Honours degree courses in fields of Arts, Sciences and Commerce leading to BA, B.Sc. and B.Com programs in various specializations.
Minimum eligibility for admission to UG courses is that applicant must have passed 10+2 examination with at least 60% marks and must have studied a concerned subject of admission at HSC level.

Akal University offers two years Honours degree courses in M.Sc, M.Com and MA in various specializations. Additionally, AU also offers integrated B.Ed courses in two disciplines.
Candidates applying for PG courses must have passed graduation degree course in any relevant field with at least 60% marks.
For BA- B.Ed or B.SC – B.Ed course, candidates applying must have done graduation in any discipline.
Admission to the courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

How to Apply
- Visit the official website of the university.
- Click on Admission tab and then on Apply Online.
- A new page will appear where candidate must fill the form, upload the required documents and then click on submit.
- For download, candidate must click on Downloads tab and then on Admission forms General or Admission form Ph.D.
- Fill the form and attach the required documents.
- Submit or send the form to the university.
- Candidates can also obtain the prospectus cum application form by paying INR 200 from the University office.

- Minority Community Scholarships:
This is a centrally sponsored scheme to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities (Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, & Parsis). These scholarships are awarded through an agency designated by the State Government for this purpose. The scholarships under the following schemes are available to the students belonging to minority communities.
- Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: The scholarship is provided to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities whose parents' income is less than INR 2.5 Lakh per annum.
- Post Matric Scholarships: Students belonging to minority communities whose parents' income is less than INR 2 Lakh per annum are provided this scholarship.
- Maulana Azad National Fellowship: Under this scholarship fellowships are provided to the students belonging to minority communities whose parents' or guardian's income is less than INR 2.5 Lakh per annum, for pursuing higher studies such as M.Phil. And Ph.D.
- Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students:
Under this scheme, Punjab Domicile students belonging to Scheduled Caste are given Scholarship by Punjab Government. To avail the scholarship, the student must belong to the scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe and the annual income of student's family must not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh.
- Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students:
This is a centrally sponsored scheme. Under this scheme, Punjab domicile students belonging to the backward classes are given scholarship by Punjab Government. The student must belong to the other Backward Classes and the annual income of student's family must not exceed INR 1 Lakh (BPL).
