XIM University Bhubneshawar offers a 2-year full-time program in the following specializations:

Eligibility:

In order to meet the XIM University eligibility criteria, an applicant must possess a strong and consistent academic background. Given below are the criteria for admission to XIM University MBA Programs:

1. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree of a minimum three-year duration, with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
2. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2023, can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically canceled in the event of their failure to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15, 2023.
3. The applicant should have appeared in CAT 2022, XAT 2023, or GMAT (Taken between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2022) exam and must have scored the minimum prescribed sectional and total scores to become eligible for the interview stage of the admission process. NMAT by GMAC 2022 scores are accepted for MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, and MBA-UMG programs.
4. Work experience is not mandatory for MBA program(s). Relevant work experience after graduation will be an advantage. However, the candidates need to have 3 plus years of relevant work experience after graduation, for the Executive MBA Program.

​EMBA- BM/ MBA- HRM/ MBA-RM/ MBA-SM/ MBA -UMG

Bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognized University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate. 

MBA - Business Analytics: For admission to MBA- Business Analytics, UG, and/or PG Degree in any discipline containing at least two core papers on Mathematics and/or Statistics with at least 55% marks in aggregate).

EMBA-BM: Candidates are required to have an experience of 3 years in an executive capacity for admission to MBA-BM Admission. Self Employed candidates should have a minimum experience of 5 years after obtaining the qualifying degree.

MBA - Business Management: For admission to MBA- Business Management, a Bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognized University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate. XUB offers MBA - BM 2-year full-time program in the following specializations:

Selection Criteria: 

Admission will be granted on the basis of a valid score in XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ X-GMAT. Shortlisted candidates will be further assessed on the basis of Group Discussion, Writing Ability tests, and Personal Interviews in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, or Mumbai. 

The final selection will be granted on the basis candidate's performance in XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT, GD, Writing Ability Test, & Personal Interview, and will take into account the past academic record and relevant work experience.

Shortlist

Candidates will be shortlisted for the GD-WAT-PI round on the basis of their sectional and overall scores in the entrance exam after the declaration of the entrance exam results. The Institute/University decides the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. There may be separate sets of cut-off marks on the XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT score for the Domicile candidates who are residents of the state of Odisha.

Personal Interview Round

XIM University will conduct the admission process in February and March 2023 for shortlisted candidates for the final selection process. After the Shortlisting process, GD-WAT-PI will be held in different cities to select suitable students for the program. WAT, GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the Interview session.

Final Admission Offer

The final selection is based on academic profile, performance in the entrance exam, performance in the Interview round, and work experience among others. The Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the first week of April 2023. The Academic session would commence in the middle of June 2023

Apart from MBA, EMBA & MURP, the University also offers MBF, MA, and MPP programs. These programs are offered in full-time mode for the duration of 2 years.

Eligibility:  

MBF: B.Com (Accounting/Finance), or B.Sc. (Mathematics/Statistics), or B.A./B.Sc. (Economics), or B.Tech, or CA/CS/CMA, with at least 60% marks in aggregate, from a recognized University. 

MA Mass Communication/ Master in Public Policy & Governance: Bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognized University, with at least 50% marks in aggregate. 

Masters in Data Science and Analytics: B.E/B.Tech (Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electrical/ Electronics/Mechanical) or M. Sc. (Computer Science/ Information Technology) or MCA (with Physics and Mathematics/ Statistics at B. Sc. Level), or MBA (or Equiv.), with at least 55% marks in aggregate, or equivalent, from a recognized University.  

Work Experience: 

For the Master in Public Policy & Governance program, candidates with demonstrated leadership skills in previous work/assignments shall be preferred.

Selection Criteria:

MBF: Admission to the MBF program will be grated on the basis of score in any of the Entrance Exam Scores i.e XAT, CAT, NMAT, GMAT. 

Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Entrance Exam Cutoff, Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.  

Note: WAT, GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. 

MPP: The final selection will be based on the evaluation of the Statement of Purpose, and the candidate's performance in the Personal Interview, and will take into account his/her academic record and relevant work experiences. 

M.Tech: The eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on academic credentials and/or extracurriculars and/or Xavier Engineering Entrance Examination (XEEE) score and/or Statement of Purpose (SoP).

The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interviews leading to the final unified selection.

XIM University also offers a Ph.D. for the duration of four to seven years is its different schools. Each school has different eligibility criteria with respect to the specializations offered. The Ph.D courses offered by various colleges of XUB are as follows: 

Selection Criteria: Candidates applying for the Ph.D. course will be shortlisted on the basis of their academic records and SOPs.

Selection Process: The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for Xavier Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT) and Personal Interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Aptitude Test, Personal Interview and past academic records.

Key Point: UGC-NET qualified candidates will be exempted from appearing for the X-RAT.
