Scholarships are offered by IIT Goa to help its meritorious and needy students and encourage them to enroll among the top programs and courses offered by the institute. The scholarships offered by IIT Goa are mentioned below.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 25% of students admitted to the B.Tech program.
The MCM Scholarship is based on the family income and the scores of candidates in the entrance and the 12th standard as well.
The selected students are exempted from the payment of the full tuition fee and also, the students are given a pocket allowance of INR 1000 per month.
Although, proof of annual family income is required to be submitted.
The SC/ST category students are given the benefit of free messing under the MCM Scholarship.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Top Class Education for SC students:

A total of 12 scholarships are given to the students of Engineering and Technology and 10 to the students of Management by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GOI.

The total annual family income should not be more than INR 4.5 lakhs.
The basic documents required for the scholarship are as follows.
- Copy of Caste Certificate.
- Bank Account Number.
- Copy of AADHAR Card.
- Copy of proof of admission to IIT Goa.
- Copy of Hostel Fee and Mess Advance.
- Proof of Income.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee is 280000. There is a government running scholarship program under which, those family income is below 1 lakh and below 5 lakh. In every, there are banks that can give you student loans for 4 years of IIT. They we give loan for laptop also.

Fees is not that much. I need to give a fees of 1,08,000 ra for 6 months of course without any scholarship. Although there are a lot of options and policies which can reduce the fees for a student. There is also a bank near the campus which offers education loan of great value

The fees I mentioned before were overall fees without any scholarship but there is a scholarship for students regardless of the category of student. So yes here is a plus point for us. family income < 1lakh, 100% fee waiver in tuition fees for each semester; between 1 lakh to 5 lakh 66%; No scholarship for income > 5 lakh. There is a special scholarship for SC/ST students other than this. Remember you have to apply for a scholarship after each semester.

About cost, as we know each Iit has the same fees i.e. 12 to 15 lakh for four years but those who have a family income of less than 5 lakh benefited with remission where the fees are reduced almost to half the total amount. And being a government college if you compare it with private colleges you will feel that you are studying for literally no cost. Various private and government scholarships are provided to students wherein the remaining fees also get waived. And if you have exceptionally well cpi then keep in mind every funding organisation has an eye on you. The same means for companies as well, just give your best rest to them. Since I am in the first year I don't have much information about stipends but I have heard that you get around 30 to 40k stipends from seniors

Normally for students, the semister fee is one lakh fifty thousand. The campus also provides scholarships for merit students. But based on their parental income they are providing remission in fees. After remission, my actual fees are around 50k.

The fees are quite affordable according to the academics and other facilities provided approximate overall total fee for graduation is around 8 to 9 lakhs and the average package is around 16lpa.
