IIM Visakhapatnam offers PhD for a duration of five years. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree to apply for the program. PhD Students will receive a Stipend of INR 30,000 per month in the 1st year with a 10% Annual Increment up to Maximum of 5 Years.

IIM Visakhapatnam PhD Selection Criteria

• Master's Degree (Bachelor’s Degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern, followed by a Master’s Degree) or a Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in any discipline, with at least 55% marks in the Bachelor’s as well in the Master’s degrees OR
• Professional Qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50% marks and B.Com Degree with 55% marks OR
• 4 Year / 8 Semesters Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+4 Pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.
• 5% Marks relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD Candidates.
• Candidates who are in the Final Year of their qualifying Programs can also apply.

IIM Visakhapatnam PhD Admission Process

• Based on the scores in CAT / GMAT / GRE / GATE / JRF (NET) / UGC - NET / CSIR (NET) Entrance Exam, candidates are shortlisted for Personal Interviews (PI).
• Shortlisted Candidates are required to appear for Personal Interview for further selection process.
• Final Selection is based on Candidate’s Overall Performance in PI, Entrance Exam Scores, Past Academic Performance.
