a) Candidates applying for the Ph.D. program should have a master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale.
b) Candidates with a master's degree in other domains of social sciences are also eligible to apply, provided their area of research is from mass communication. Research can be conducted in English or Hindi.
