University of Agriculture and Horticulture Sciences (UAHS), is an integrated university located in the state of Karnataka. It is recognized as one of Farm Universities of Karnataka that came into existence in 2013. The university has six affiliated colleges that offer courses in agriculture and horticulture sciences.
University of Agriculture and Horticulture Sciences offers course of B.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry, M.Sc. in a number of specializations, Ph.D. in Agriculture and Diploma in Agriculture. There is a provision of lateral entry admission for diploma holders into B.Sc. degree programs offered by the University.

UAHS specializes in agriculture and horticulture sciences and offers degree program in B.Sc at undergraduate level. Admissions are done through CET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). For each course, there is a reservation of 23.8% for actual cultivators or children of farming family of Karnataka. Candidates applying under Agriculturist Quota have to appear for separate practical test conducted by KEA.
Candidates seeking admission in B.Sc. courses in the University should pass two-year Pre University Course (PUC) of Karnataka or its equivalent in PCB or any other Science subjects. Lateral Entry admissions to diploma holders are based on performance in qualifying Diploma and Common Admission Test conducted by Farm Universities of Karnataka.

Key Points for Admission:
The University offer M.Sc. degree in various specializations of agriculture, horticulture and forestry. Candidates applying for M.Sc. degree must possess bachelor’s degree in the concerned discipline by securing minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or its equivalent from a recognized Farm University recognized by ICAR.
All postgraduate admissions are done through common admission process (PGCET) conducted for four Farm Universities of Karnataka and merit of qualifying degree. A merit list will be drawn on the basis of entrance test, marks in qualifying exam, and other academic achievements.

Note: While determining the merit list 45% weightage is given to entrance test marks, 50% to CGPA of qualifying degree and 5% for other academic achievements.
At research level Doctorate degree is offered in five subjects of agriculture. Admissions in Ph.D. programs require Master’s Degree in the relevant subject or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Farm Universities or Institutes recognized by ICAR. Candidates must secure minimum of CGPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4 (Trimester System) or CGPA of 7.5 out of 10 (Semester System).
Selection of applicants will be based on written test conducted by the University itself. For final selection, score of entrance test, academic qualifications, and work experience will be taken into consideration.
