Mother Teresa Women’s University invites applications for Ph.D. Programme in both part-time and full-time format. Interested candidates can Pre-Register for the Qualifying Entrance Exam for PhD Programme. The Entrance Exam will consist of a written exam and an interview held on the same day, after which the marks of the two will be added to determine your final score.
Applicants seeking admission to Ph.D offered by Mother Teresa University must hold a master’s degree in the related discipline in order to apply for admission. MTWU Ph.D Admission Process
Applicants will be selected on the basis of performance in the entrance test and interview conducted by the institute. It will also depend on the number of notified vacancies in each discipline. The qualifying entrance examination for Ph.D. Programme consists of 2 steps – first the Written Examination, and then the Interview.
Written Examination:
The Written Examination will have 2 papers having multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 would be common to all candidates and contain 50 questions, whereas Paper 2 would be for Discipline Specialization (different for different disciplines of Ph.D.) containing 100 questions. There is no negative marking. You must take the Examination in both the Question Papers without fail.
Interview:
After the written examinations, you have to take an interview in the respective departments or officiating departments which will assess on the basis of Subject Knowledge, Subject Knowledge and Communication Skills.
The marks from the two will subsequently be adjusted and added, and your selection will be based on that score.
Note: NET or SET or GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the Entrance exam conducted by University.

Application may be downloaded from the University website www.motherteresawomenuniv.ac.in. After successful downloading of application form, fill the application form correctly. Attach all enclosures. Attach a DD for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of The Registrar, Mother Teresa Women’s University, payable at Kodaikanal ONLY IN STATE BANK OF INDIA.
