St. Peter's University established in 2008 but earlier it was functioning as St. Peter's Engineering College which was established in the year 1993 with all the programmes certified by NBA AICTE and it is coeducational engineering institution. St. Peter's University offers various courses under research which is mentioned as below:

Eligibility: Those students who have obtained a full time post graduate degree from St. Peter’s university or any other university with at least 55% marks will only be eligible for M.Phil course. Students with masters in Arts/Science or MBA/MCA degree with 55% marks are also eligible to apply.

Ph.D.: Students must have the relevant master’s degree (Full time/part time/evening) or equivalent as recognized by the university with not less than 55% marks in aggregate.

Ph.D Engineering/Technology: Students looking for admission must have passed M.Tech/M.E. in desired field.

Ph.D Humanities: Students looking for admission must have passed MA/M.Sc or MCA (Full time/part time/evening) in relevant field.

PH.D Management: Students looking for admission must have passed MBA (Full time/Part time).

Important Facts for Full Time Ph.D Programme:

  1. Students who want to pursue Ph.D in full time mode shall be available during working hours in the University for Curricular Activities.
  2. Students in employment, and want to pursue full time Ph.D should be sponsored by their employer & must avail the leaves to complete their research work.
  3. AICTE sponsored students, under quality improvement programmes & teachers of engineering colleges will be eligible for full time mode only.
  4. Students who are selected for fellowship programmes through any national or recognized bodies will be eligible for full time mode only.
  5. Sponsored students from Government of India are also eligible for Full time study.

Note: Students under Full time mode of study can apply for part time mode of the study after approval.

Important Facts for Part Time Ph.D Programme:

  1. Full time teachers of St. Peter’s University only, can apply for part time Ph.D.
  2. Students working in this university under government/central/totally funded or quasi government projects can go for part time mode.

Selection Process

  1. Selection of the candidate is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying entrance examination and the interview conducted.
  2. Selection of the candidate is done only after the verification of eligibility as per university regulations.
