The Pharmaceutical industry is a field of study which has increased its scope in the past few years and taken the field of medicine to new heights. The Bachelor of Pharmacy andMaster of Business Administration program in Pharmacy is an integratedpostgraduate degree program which specializes in the field of pharmacy and management. The eligibility for the course is a pass in 10+2 with science subjects. The duration of the course is 5 years.

The students of B. Pharm. have the option of either choosing M. Pharm. for further studies, or choose MBA Pharmacy. M. Pharm. is a course which is an extension of the similar studies from B. Pharm. while MBA Pharmacy involves the study of pharmacy in terms of management courses. It develops the learning of the students in terms of pharmaceutical marketing, while the M. Pharm. deals more with the intricacies of drugs and medicines.

Duration

Usually, the duration of B. Pharm. is of four years and MBA is of two years when taken separately but as a dual degree the course spans for 5 years, which is beneficial for the students, usually, divided in two semesters each year. The student gets a degree of B. Pharm. and MBA upon successful completion of the course.

There are very few Pharmacy Institutes in India which offer this dual degree integrated program. M.D.S. Kissan Technical Institute, Rewari and ShobhabenPratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy and Technology Management, Mumbai, to name a few. 

The minimum eligibility for B. Pharm. is 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics as the main subjects. While, for MBA Pharmacy, the minimum eligibility is B. Pharm. when taken separately and on the other hand, the dual degree requires a minimum eligibility of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 examination. English is the major prerequisite for the course as all correspondence is made in English language.
