Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Haridwar is a state-run University that came into existence in 2005. The institution is approved by UGC for conducting diploma, certificate, UG, PG, and doctoral level courses to eligible students. Almost 44 colleges are affiliated under this University, also known as USVV.
USVV provides 5 specializations in Certificate and PG Diploma programs, 4 UG level degree programs, 2 post-graduate and doctoral level courses as part of its regular academic curriculum.
Admission to most of the courses is done on the basis of merit secured in the qualifying examination. Selection to the B.Ed. Shiksha Shastri course is based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam followed by counseling.

Selection Criteria
Admission to all the above-mentioned UG courses will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam.
Admission to the B.Ed. Shiksha Shastri course will be done on the basis of a written entrance test known as the Pre-Shiksha Shastri Test followed by Counseling.
At the PG level, the institute offers an M.A. under various specializations along with an M.Lib.Sc., and PGD for a duration of 2 years.
