Sharda University Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Sharda University offers B.Tech and B.Arch courses in various specializations in regular as well as a lateral entry mode. Applicants should have passed 10+2 in Science stream with minimum 55% marks for B.Arch and 60% for B.Tech course.

Admissions to B.Tech and B.Sc are based on SUAT. For B.Arch, students will be admitted through NATA ranking. Apart from SUAT for B.Tech, the candidates can also apply through JEE Main.

Important Points:

• Candidates who clear the National level (JEE Main) Entrance examination for Engineering courses, need not appear for SUAT.
• Personal Interview is compulsory for B.Tech admission.

Sharda University offers B.Sc, BA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Des and B.Ed courses in various streams for at the undergraduate level. Candidates should have passed HSC with minimum of 50% to be eligible for these courses except for B.Ed for which a bachelor’s degree is required.

Admissions to all these UG courses are based upon the online entrance test, SUAT, conducted by the university. The merit list of the selected candidates is made available on the university website and campus.

Note:

• For BBA and B.Com courses, preference will be given to candidates with Commerce/Mathematics as one of the main subjects.
• University provides the chance of a foreign tour for academic purpose during the first semester of BBA dual specialization program.

The minimum educational qualification for admission to UG medical courses is 10+2 in science stream with at least 60% aggregate marks in all subjects. Admission to MBBS & BDS programs is offered on the basis of performance in NEET UG. For BPT, B.Pharm, B.Sc (Medical) & B.Sc (Nursing) courses, students have to qualify in SUAT conducted by the university.

For MBBS and BDS courses, state quota candidates (85% seats) can apply for NEET UG counseling on the basis of their score in NEET UG.

Key points:

• Students must have studied English as the main subject.
• Candidate’s age must be 17 years or above at the time of admission
• Admission in Nursing program is based upon the Indian Nursing Council (INC) guidelines.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate to secure admission in MA, M.Sc, MCA, LL.M and M.Des courses at the postgraduate level.

Admission to all the courses is SUAT based. Apart from SUAT, candidates with a good score in LSAT/ CLAT are also eligible for admission to LL.M program. 

Important points:

• Candidates must have a score of 50 in CLAT for direct admission, otherwise, they will have to appear for SUAT.
• For admission to LLM, the candidate must be eligible for enrolment as an advocate in India with 50% marks.

Sharda University also offers MD. MS, MPT, MDS, M.Sc (Nursing) & M.Sc (Medical) courses in various specializations at the PG Medical level. MD, MS and MDS admission is based on the score in NEET PG and NEET MDS respectively. SUAT is mandatory doe M.Sc (Medical) and M.Sc (Nursing) courses.

Note: For M.Sc Nursing courses, candidates must have a minimum one-year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing.

Sharda University offers M.Tech, M.Arch & MBA courses in various specializations. Candidates with B.E/ B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks can apply for M.Tech courses. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture for M.Tech. Any Bachelor’s degree is sufficient for MBA course

Admissions to M.Tech is based  GATE score. M.Arch and MBA admission is offered on the basis of SUAT score, but CAT/ MAT qualified candidates are eligible to apply for MBA.

Key Points:

• Students with a valid GATE score will be preferred for admission to M.Tech course.
• Candidates who qualify the entrance exam for MBA will have to appear for group discussion and personal interview conducted by the university.
• Candidates must have 75 percentile in case of admission through MAT and 65 percentile marks in case of CAT-based admission.

Sharda University offers a Ph.D. program in both full-time and part-time modes at the doctoral level. Candidates who score 55% aggregate marks n the PG degree can apply.

Admissions will be based on UGC/CSIR (JRF), NET/GATE, conducted at All India level. Admissions are also offered through the entrance exam conducted by the university, i.e., SUAT. Final admission is offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in the interview conducted by the respective department.

Key Points:

• Candidates with a B.Tech/BS degree with min. 75% marks or CGPA of 8.25 may be directly enrolled in Ph.D., provided that they are working with an institution/organization of National repute engaged in research work with 5 years of research experience.

• Selected candidates will have to appear for the compulsory Personal Interview round.
• Candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR (JRF), NET/GATE are exempted from appearing in the entrance examination. However, they will necessarily have to undergo an interview.
