The admission to the under graduate courses are done on the basis of merit. Of the students’ performance in the written examination conducted by the university. Students must have completed their senior secondary school from a recognized school board to be eligible for admissions.
Applicants can apply offline by getting the application form from the university campus. After the entrance examinations, the students who get selected in the merit list will be called for counselling.
The Bachelor of Arts programmes offered in different subjects are 3 years in duration and have a capacity of 60 for each. The B.Sc for Biology and Maths group has an intake of 120 students for each group.

To be eligible for admissions to the BA programs, candidatesmust have completed their senior secondary school from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other recognized board with an aggregate 50% marks and English as a compulsory subject.
The university enrolls students to post graduate courses through merit based selection procedure. The university conducts an entrance examination and features a merit list based on the students’ performance in the entrance examination. The final round of the selection process is counselling.
Those who are willing to enroll for admission in M.Ed. Special (H.I.), must have obtained an average minimum of 55% marks in B.Ed. Special(H.I.)
The post graudate courses are of 2 years in duration. However, MCA is of 3 years, M.Ed.HI and M.Lib.I.Sc.are of 1 year in duration. While there are 60 seats in MA, M.Mus, MBA, MCA, MSW, LLM, programs, there are only 30 seats in MJMC and M.Lib.I.Sc.
There are 240 seats in the M.Com program.
Candidates must have completed their under graduation to eb eligible to apply for admissions to post graduate programs offered by the university.

M.S.W. (Master of Social Work) is offered at the post graduate level, spread over 2 years. In thir 3rd semester, he/she must select a specialized paper from a given choice of 4 options. After the 2nd semester, he/she must work with an NGO for a period of 6 months.
Admissions to M.A.(Rural Development) requires candidates to be 2nd Class graduates. The university conducts an entrance examination and a counselling round based upon the merit list issued.
The M.Ed. program is a one year course with 25 seats for each academic year. Applicants must have secured an average minimum of 55% marks in B.Ed. exam.
For admissions to B.Ed. Special (H.I.) he/she must have secured an average minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) in their graudation or post graduation qualifying examination.
The university offers a set of professional courses of 1-2 years in duration.P.G.D.J.M.C. and P.G.D.C.A have an intake of 40 students each while the B.T.C. course has a capacity of 50 students.D.Ed.Spl.(HI) is a 2 year course and enrolls 25 students for each academic session.

Students must make a payment of Rs.300/- for admission forms available at the university.
The university published a merit list after the entrance examination. The selected students are called for a counselling round as a part of final evaluation round.
In case of Under Graduate Programs, candidates willing to apply for different courses must fill in separate application forms for admissions to B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. (Maths), and B.Sc.(Zoology).

The university follows reservation as per the guidelines issued by the government.Special preference is given to the students who have participated in state level sports competitions.
The university provides scholarships through National funding Agencies across different categories.The various Government funding agencies are Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India-BRNS, UGC, DST, Women Scientist Fellowships (WOS-DST), Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship, Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) etc. For women scholars, a special class of scholarships are available from UGC/DST.
