CCS University, Meerut BA Course Details

The college offers BA (Hons) programs under 2 specializations. Below tabulated are the names along with their syllabus:

Course Curriculum: The entire BA program is divided into three years comprising six semesters. Each semester ordinarily is of 21 weeks duration inclusive of teaching and examination. Evaluation of each semester is done on the basis of internal assessments and external assessments. 50% weightage is given to internal assessments and the other 50% is given to external assessments. Final marks are calculated out of 100 out of which 40 are the passing marks. Also, the maximum time allotted for external examinations is 3 hours. For BA Hons Economics course, students are required to submit an internship training report along with the certificate issued by the concerned official. Also, each paper of each semester of BA Hons Economics carries 5 equal credits. Hence, the total BA Hons Economics program weighs 150 credits. Student intake of each specialization is 40.

The placement cell at Chaudhary Charan Singh University helps students with the information and directions regarding employment opportunities available through the college placements. The students of the Economics department have been well-received in the job market and are mostly placed in the areas of academic and research institutions at higher level, civil services, commercial banks, the Reserve Bank of India and private corporate houses. The top recruiters from the Hindi Department are from the newspaper sector such as Daily Hindustan, DLA, Dainik Jagran, Etv, Amar Ujala etc. Students are also placed in education service in Govt Colleges, Private Colleges, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan and Different Intermediate Boards.

Internships: The economics department offers Internship opportunities to its students. At the end of the fourth semester, all the students have to undergo Summer Internship Training of 6 week with an industrial, business and service organization. Each student will have to prepare an Internship Training Report too after the program.
