• Candidates who are in their final year of graduation can also apply for this course.

How to Apply for M.Phil at Tamil University?

• To apply for the M.Phil. courses, one need to apply for the choice of subject and submit the documents to The Registrar of Tamil University.
• One needs to pay the admission Fee of INR 1000 if selected and additional amount of INR 500 in case of Practical examinations.
• Applicants need to secure minimum 55% of aggregate marks in their Master degree and Bachelor degree to be qualified for the admission.
• Foe reserved Category, the University accepts 50% of aggregate marks.
• Students passed in 3rd semester waiting for the 4th semester may also apply, but they may be admitted only after the submission of the consolidated mark statement with all pass.
• Applicants will be directly informed by the Head of the Departments concerned about the date, time and venue for the counselling and entrance examination.
• Applicants who have not appeared for the counselling shall be rejected.
• Applicants will be selected on the basis of qualification and roaster system issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

How to Apply for Ph.D at Tamil University?

• One needs to pay the admission Fee of INR 1000 if selected and additional amount of INR 500 in case of Practical examinations.
• These candidates will then appear for the entrance test conducted by the University.
• Students who have already appeared for the UGC-NET tests are exempted from the Entrance test. They will be short-listed directly.
• Selection will be decided by the HOD with reference to the reservation rules of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
• After selection, the candidates will have to appear for the Interview with the Guide, HOD and Dean of the Faculty.
