Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects from a recognized board.

Minimum Marks:

a) 50% aggregate marks in PCM 

b) 50% marks in English subject in 10+2 examination.

For SC/ST candidates: There is a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks required PCM; however, it will not apply to English subject Marks

The minimum age limit for admission to the Marine Engineering program is 17 years. However, the upper age limit may vary depending on the following:

a) Male: General-25 years, OBC (NCL) - 28 years, (SC/ST-30 years)

b)  Female: General-27 years, OBC (NCL) - 30 years (SC/ST-32 years)

All the candidates who qualify for this program are required to submit a Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of Certificate Verification
