The Avinashilingam University is a women’s deemed university located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1957. This is one of the biggest institutions of India for providing Home Science Education. The university is UGC approved.
Avinashilingam University has multiple programmes at UG, PG and M.Phil and Ph.D. level. The university provides courses like BE,B.E.Lateral, B.Sc., B.A., B.Ed., B.Com.,B.C.A.B.P.Ed. at UG level and ME, MBA,M.Ed., MCA at PG level. The university also offers researched based courses under Ph.D and M.Phil.
- For B.E the candidate must have passed class 12th with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology with min. 45% marks in aggregate.
- For B.E. Lateral Entry, the candidate must have a diploma approved by AICTE with min. 45% marks
- For M.E., the candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree with min. 50% marks.
- All the selections in B.E and B.E. Lateral Entry will be done on the basis of AAEEE score.
- All the selections under M.E. will be done on the merit basis followed by an Entrance exam of GATE/TANCET and personal interview.
- The min. eligibility for all the other bachelor courses is Class 12th in the relevant stream.
- The selection of which will be done on the basis of merit in the Class 12th marks.
- The min. eligibility for M.B.A is a Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
- The min. eligibility for all the other Master’s courses is a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
- The selection criteria for M.B.A is the score obtained by the candidate in the qualifying exam (XAT/CAT/MAT/TANCET/ATMAT/GMAT) and the marks in the personal interview.
- The selection of all the other Master’s courses is on merit basis.
- The min. eligibility for M.Phil. and Ph.D. is, the candidates should have a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with min. 55%.
- The selection in M.Phil and Ph.D. will be merit based.

Avinashilingam University BE & ME Admission 2023
The university offers Bachelor of Engineering (BE), BE Lateral and Master of Engineering (ME) programs to students seeking to make a career in the field of technology. BE and BE Lateral Entry programmes have a duration period of 4 years and 3 years respectively, while ME takes 2 years to get completed.
The min, eligibility for B.E. is, the candidate must have passed 10+ 2 with the relevant subjects. For M.E., the candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent with min. 50% marks from a recognized university.
For the BE and ME course admissions, the university holds an entrance exam for the interested candidates. The obtained marks in that exam along with the marks of 10+2 level exam will be used to make the selection of the candidates. 5% marks relaxation is provided by the university for SC/ST Category candidates for BE and BE Lateral Entry programs.

The university offers two master degree programmes at the PG level - Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). The course duration for MCA is 3 years while the duration MBA is 2 years. The min. eligibility for any student to apply for M.C.A, the candidate must have done bachelor’s in the relevant field. For M.B.A., any woman graduate with 50% can apply to this course.
For the candidates interested in the MCA program mentioned above, the university will make the selection on the basis of merit whereas for M.B.A., it will be done on the basis of the Qualifying Entrance Exam followed by GD and Personal Interview.
