PhD at Chitkara University is a fullt-time program offered for a minimum duration of 3 years. The prgogram is offered in 9 streams such as Mass Communication, Business Management, Education, Applied Sciences, Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hospitality, Nursing, Architecture, Engineering, and Art & Design. The basic eligibility criteria for PhD admission is to have a master’s degree in relevant field from a recognised university.

A candidate is eligible for Admission and Registration for PhD program provided he/ she has qualified:

• Master’s Degree of any recognized University/other qualification in a relevant discipline. The minimum qualifying marks are 55% at Post Graduation level (Relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories.)
• Selection is based on the entrance examination conducted by the University at the national level on the pattern of UGC followed by an interview.
• Candidate must not be more than 55 years of age on the date of the entrance test.

Online Application:

• Visit the Chitkara University’s official website
• Fill the application form and pay the required application fee online.
• Submit the application form along with the documents and save it for future reference.

Offline Application:

• Download the application form from the website or purchase the application form from Chitkara University’s Information Centers.
• Send the duly filled application form along with application fee in form of Demand Draft of INR 2100 drawn in favor of ‘Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh’, passport size photo and required documents to “Chitkara University Admission Office, SCO 160-161, Sector 9-C, Chandigarh 160 009”

Documents required:

• 10th & 12th mark sheet
• Graduation Certificate and mark sheet.
• Migration certificate 
• Rank card of qualifying examination, if the result is not declared then the Admit Card of the examination can be submitted.

• Medical Certificate
• Category certificate, if applicable
