D.Y. Patil.Education Society (DYPES) is a deemed university established in 2005 and is located in Kolhapur. University is declared as ‘A’ grade with CGPA 3.09 by NAAC. It is recognized as one of the top institutions of higher learning in next decade.

DYPES offers the following post graduate (PG) and research programme in various disciplines to its students every year:

Post graduate course:

• M.Sc. (in 4 disciplines)

Research course:

• Ph.D. (in 10 disciplines)

Candidate will be shortlisted for admission to the M.Sc.course on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination and to the Ph.D course based on the performance in the entrance exam and interview. Interested candidates can register themselves for the above mentioned courses by submitting duly filled-in applications along with the processing fee amount of Rs. 1000/- through demand draft (DD).

Eligibility Criteria

Disciplines offered under M.Sc programme – (2 years):

Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine:

Eligibility: 

• Candidate must possess B.Sc degree in biology, botany, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, life sciences with 50% marks or MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPharm or BVSc or BE biotechnology from a recognized university.
• Candidates who are appearing for final year bachelor programme are also eligible to apply.

Medical Physics:

Eligibility: Candidate must possess B.Sc degree in physics with a minimum 60% of marks from this university or any other recognized university

Medical Biochemistry:

Eligibility: M.B.B.S./B.Sc. with Chemistry/Biology/Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/BAMS/BHMS, B.Pharm, B.Sc. from a recognized university, provided that the candidate must have appeared for H.Sc. examination with Biology as one of the subjects.

Anatomy:

Eligibility: Candidate must possess degree in MBBS, BDS, B. Pharma, ayurveda medicine, homeopathy medicine, and physiotherapy, B. Sc. nursing or B. Sc. in Biological science subjects from a recognized university.

Admission Process

The University shall admit doctoral students through an Entrance Test followed by an Interview. Both the assessments will be organized by the School/Department/Institution/University. Those students who qualify UGC/CSIR (JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. programme need not appear for Ph.D. Entrance Test.

During the interview round, doctoral candidates are expected to discuss their research interests/areas.

The University may decide separate terms and conditions for those students who qualify UGC/CSIR (JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M. Phil Programme for Ph.D. Entrance Test.

The Ph.D. aspirants are required to carry the following documents during the time of admission:

• Birth Certificate
• Result/Rank issued by NBE
• admit Card issued by NBE
• Four copies of passport-sized photograph
• Internship Completion Certificate
• MBBS Degree/Provisional Certificate
• A copy of the statement of marks (basic degree and P.G.Degree, NET/SET/ GATE /J.R.F etc.)
• Migration/Transfer Certificate if necessary
• The registration form duly filled in and signed along with registration fees 
• Authenticated copy of professional experience along with copies of the published research work
• Sponsorship letter from the Institution/Company

How to Apply?

The application forms can be downloaded from the university's website or can be obtained directly from the Registrar's office. In order to appear for the entrance test, the candidates will be required to submit the application form along with attested copies of documents.

To register, one has to follow the given steps:

• Paste a passport-sized photograph
• Fill in the basic details
• Mention the course
• Fill the section for the Demand Draft
• Mention past academic qualifications
• Marks scored in the qualifying examinations (GAT/SLET/NET)
• Sign the declaration
