RVSKVV Admission 2023: Courses, Eligibility, Fee, Application Form, Selection Process

RVSKVV offers B.Sc in the streams of Agriculture & Horticulture through semester system. Selection to B.Sc course will be done on the basis of score of Pre-Agriculture Test (PAT) conducted by the Professional Examination Board (VYAPAM), Bhopal              .

Note: Candidates selected through ICAR entry test are admitted over and above the prescribed seats from time to time.

A joint online entrance examination is organized every year for admission to PG and Ph.D. programs offered by the RVSKVV) and Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV), Jabalpur.

A common merit list is released for the shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in the entrance. The candidates who qualify for online counseling are considered for allocation of seat in the desired course.

Candidates of JNKVV and RVSKVV are given priority and called for the first counseling. Candidates of other universities are considered for second counseling only if the seats remain vacant after the first one.

The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance examination are 40% for unreserved & OBC categories, and 30% for SC & ST category candidates. The University does not offer direct admission to the M.Sc & Ph.D. programs. Merit in the entrance is the only criteria to secure admission.

Admission to Ph.D. program at RVSKVV is done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the Joint Online Entrance examination conducted by RVSKVV & JNKVV, Jabalpur.

Final seat will be allotted on the basis of counseling of qualified candidates followed by the interview. Students can check the specialization wise eligibility criteria as tabulated below:

Note: Admission to M.Sc & Ph.D. programs will be made on the basis of merit in the entrance. However, first preference will be given to the students of RVSKVV.

Admission of In-service candidates to M.Sc & Ph.D. degree programs of RVSKVV will be made with respect to the following guidelines:-

• One Candidate from each department of RVSKVV will be allowed for PG program in every academic session.
• Candidates must have served for a minimum period of five years in the RVSKVV and must fulfill the minimum requirements as prescribed for regular students.
• Selected candidates will have to sign a bond to serve the University for at least five years, after completion of their studies.
• A minimum of one calendar year must elapse after completing the course before the research thesis is submitted.
• Maximum period for in-service candidates to complete Master’s and Ph.D. programme will be 8 and 12 semesters respectively.
• There should be a gap of at least five years between Bachelor’s & Master’s degree program for in-service candidates.
• In-service candidates will be given an advantage of one point for each year of service rendered to the University subject to the maximum of 10 points.
