Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) was established by the Government of MP on February 12, 1991. The University has been accredited Grade A by NAAC. The university offers 50 UG and PG courses under 16 departments. The admissions to the various courses offered by the university are expected to begin in June. Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) conducts separate entrance test followed by counselling to offer admission. For B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering, students have to qualify in PAT conducted by University followed by counselling.

Selection Procedure:

The admission to all PG courses is based up on the entrance test conducted by the university.
- The admission to MBA is based on the entrance test and counseling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of MP.

Reservation Criteria
- 30% seats in all the courses are reserved for females.
- 80% seats are reserved for the candidates from MP and 20% for the other states candidates.
- For SC/ ST candidates, the seats are reserved as per the rules of state government.
