About LNIPE
Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) was established in August 1957 in memory of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Government of India. It is a deemed university under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The institute promotes excellence in sports and physical education with its vast range of courses under UG, PG, PGDM, and Ph.D. categories.
Admission to LNIPE is strictly based on the merit obtained in the Entrance Test. The Entrance Test consists of a written test followed by a physical test and then the medical examination. Applications for admission are to be made online. Seats are reserved for SC, ST and OBC candidates. The candidates who have represented India in any international championship will be granted direct admission if the representation shall be in such games/sports which are approved by AIU.

LNIPE Gwalior Admissions
Admission in Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education is based on the merit obtained by the applicant in the entrance test conducted by the institute. The application mode for admission is online. The selection criteria are the same for admission in all the courses. The entrance test is divided into two categories - written test and physical fitness test which is followed by a medical examination. The admission of the applicant is based on the collective merit obtained in all these tests.

Indian Students
- Application for admission shall be made only online through the Institute website.
- The fee for online application is payable through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card or Kiosk of MP Online
- The prescribed centre wise admission fee is as follows:
- B.P.Ed - INR 650 (Gwalior) | INR 500 (Guwahati) | INR 200 (other centres)
- M.P.Ed - INR 800 (Gwalior) | INR 650 (Guwahati)
- All other courses - INR 800
- After a successful application, the candidates should prepare for the entrance.
- After the entrance, the candidates who obtain marks according to the merit list are only eligible for the admission.
Foreign Students
A foreign student willing to take admission in LNIPE must submit an Online Application form as mentioned in the prospectus. All letters relating to foreign students should be addressed to the Registrar of the college. The admission of foreign students will be supernumerary, i.e. over and above sanctioned intake.

LNIPE Gwalior Scholarship
The college is a government-funded institute and has the provision of providing a scholarship to the students with extraordinary abilities. The top ten meritorious students of every semester in every course get a scholarship wherein their fees for the entire semester is refunded. The students need to excel both in theory and practical examination in order to be eligible for the scholarship.

LNIPE Gwalior Placement
The placement cell of the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education is quite active. Every year many schools and companies come to LNIPE to recruit students mostly for the position of a sports coach, a sports instructor or sports teacher. The other fields where the students get placed are Sports management, sports Journalism, sports marketing, pedagogy, physiotherapy and in the field of sports medicine. The college also helps provide its final year students with internships for practical understanding and experience in their particular specializations.

Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education facilitates its students, teachers and other employees in the best capacity. The institute consists of e-classrooms and e-libraries, faculty block, research block, auditorium, and research laboratories. Some of the other facilities are:
- Sports Facilities: The institute houses a Health Centre, an Indoor Swimming Pool, an open Olympic size Swimming Pool, to name a few
- Hostel: There are 7 boys hostels and 4 girls hostels. There is a separate mess for girls and boys.
