Masters in Applied Psychology is a postgraduate course in application of psychological principles. A candidate has to be a B.A graduate in Psychology/ Applied Sciences from a recognised university in order to be eligible for this course.
Masters in Applied Psychology is a two-year programme and has similar courses like M.Sc. Psychology. This course is also often pitted against M.A Clinical Psychology. The mode of admission is either through Entrance Examination or on Merit.

Difference between MA in Applied Psychology, M.Sc. Psychology, M.A. in Clinical Psychology
M.A in Applied Psychology uses the principles of psychology which have already been researched and apply them to solve practical problems of human and animal behaviour.
The course M.Sc. Psychology deals with research and science behind the brain, behaviour and psychological processes.
M.A in Clinical Psychology, unlike applied psychology, deals with the clinical research and experiment to develop psychological fundamentals which would be applied to solve human and animal behaviour problem.
This course is completed over the duration of two years.Since the course follows a semester system over annual mode, the course is divided into four semesters.

A Bachelor’s degree in any disciplines from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate of marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ Transgender and Kashmiri Migrant Students) are eligible to apply.
