Admission to CUSAT is based on the CUSAT CAT entrance exam, which is held online in May. Notifications are issued in February, and results are announced in June, with classes starting in early July. The fee structure for MSc courses is affordable, under 10,000 INR, with semester fees at about 7,500 INR for Keralite students and 20,000 INR for others.
CUSAT offers strong placement opportunities, with companies like CATERPILLAR, Genpro, and Infosys regularly conducting placement programs. In 2022, 39 out of 40 B.Tech students secured placements. The university provides various scholarships such as Egrantz and Student Aid Fund for economically disadvantaged students, and loans are easily accessible. The Cochin University Welfare Association offers scholarships based on income and academic performance. Semester fees are approximately 4,000-5,000 INR, with a reduced fee of around 300 INR for SC/ST students.
