Aspirants seeking admission to the program should meet the following criteria as
Academic Requirement:
Candidates with M.Sc./M.Phil in Nursing degree or a P.G. Degree in Nursing considered as equivalent by Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) awarded by a College/University recognized by INC.
Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. Programme with a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7- point scale are eligible to apply for Ph.D.
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently – abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC, or those who had obtained their Masters degree prior to 19th September, 1991
Candidates having no clear grading/marks in their Post Graduate examination are considered for the Ph.D. program subject to approval from the equivalence committee
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer) differently abled, other categories of candidates who have cleared the M.Phil., and candidates who have cleared the MD/MS/M Sc./DM/M.Ch/DNB/MDS Course.
Application Procedure:
Application for admission for the Ph.D. program is made in the prescribed forms, which is made available at the office of the Registrar /website, www.yenepoya.edu.in
The admission of the candidates involves two stages processes the entrance test and interview.
The Entrance Test is conducted at the Yenepoya (deemed to be University) and the date is notified in advance.
The syllabus of the Entrance Test consists of 50% of research methodology and 50% is subject specific.
Candidates with a minimum of 50% in the entrance examination are considered as eligible for the interview.
An interview/viva voce is organized by the Ph.D. Admission committee constituted by the Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).
