KLE University is among the top colleges in India in the spheres of medical education, research and health care services. Added to this 1000-bed Dr.Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital and three Primary Health Centres and one urban Health centre are the epicenters of post graduate and undergraduate training.

KLE University offers undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS and BAMS to the students who are willing to pursue their career in the field of medical science. Students are eligible for taking admission to these courses only if they have secured 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their 10+2 level. For BAMS, the required marks is just 50%
To get admission in MBBS and BDS, the eligible students need to appear in a common entrance exam, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The duration of MBBS is 4.5 years and 1 year for internship; whereas the duration for BDS is 4 years and 1 year for internship.
For BAMS, admission is entirely based on merit. Candidates just need to score 50% and above in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 or any equivalent examination. After this, they need to appear in an entrance test conducted by the university.

KLE University offers wide range of courses to the students in the field of Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Nursing. The eligible candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam, KLEU-UGAIET (KLE University Undergraduate All India Entrance Test), conducted by the university.
To get admission in B.Pharm and Pharm.D, students must have studied and passed Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics securing an aggregate of 40% marks in 10+2 level. The duration is 4 years and 6 years respectively.
Students who have obtained an aggregate 40% of marks in PCB at 10+2 level are eligible to get admission in Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). The duration period is 4 years.
Candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of nursing can get admission in B.Sc for a duration period of 4 years. Aspirants who have secured 45% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2 level are fully eligible to seek admission. The total intake for this course is 40. 5% relaxation in eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST category

KLE University also offers postgraduate courses to the students in the field of medical science. Admission to these courses is based on the score of entrance exam KLEU-PGAIET (KLE University Postgraduate All India Entrance Test), conducted by the university.
Wide range of medical courses are offered in the university like Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery for a duration period of 3 years. For MDS, candidates should posses BDS degree with 50% of marks in the entrance exam. Its duration is 3 years.
Candidates are also offered courses like M.Pharm, MPT, M.Sc, DM and M.Ch whose duration period is 2 years, 3 years, 2 years and 3 years respectively.

KLE University offers Master’s programme to the students who want to pursue to make a career in the field of medical. All candidates are selected on the basis of the marks they have obtained in their qualifying exam.
In the field of pharmacy and nursing, the university offers courses like M.Pharm and M.Sc respectively. The duration for these courses is 2 years.
For degree courses like MPT, DM and M.Ch candidates need to pass their respective qualifying exam. No entrance exam is required. The duration period is 3 years each.

Students also get the option of pursuing Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme in various specializations. Eligible students are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the university followed by a personal interview.
The duration period for full time is 2-3 years and for part time it is 3-5 years.
