For Integrated PhD program, criterion is that candidate must secure 55% marks at Bachelor’s level. Application process will be available in both modes i.e. Online and Offline. Selection of candidates will be based on Written test and Interview. Candidate having valid score in NET-JRF under CSIR/UGC fellowship schemes or DBT/ ICMR–JRF/ INSPIRE-JRF or GATE / JEST / GPAT exams will be given preference. JNCASR PhD Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for MS, Int. Ph.D. and Ph.D. are as follows:
- Integrated (Int.) Ph.D. Program: A minimum of 55% marks at Bachelor’s level is required. Candidates appearing for their final year exams in Bachelor’s can also apply.
- Materials Science and Biological Science: Candidates having Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science can apply.
- Chemical Science: Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science with Chemistry as a major and mathematics as a subject at least up to PUC (10+2 level).
- For PhD: Candidates must have qualified NET-JRF under CSIR/UGC fellowship schemes or DBT/ ICMR–JRF/ INSPIRE-JRF or GATE / JEST / GPAT. ME/MTech candidates are required to qualify one of the exams, however candidates without these exams qualified may also be considered.
JNCASR MS PhD Selection Process
On basis of eligibility criteria candidates will be called for written exam and Interview. Final Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in written test followed by an Interview. Marks scored in both i.e. written test and interview will be taken into account.

Ques. How to get admission to JNCASR PhD program?
Ans. To get admitted to the PhD program at JNCASR, the applicants are supposed to fill the online application form, appear for the entrance exam, and shortlisted candidates must appear for the interview. Ans. After being accepted, you will enrol in foundational and advanced courses to assist you get ready for your research. Normally, the coursework is completed in about a year (two semesters).
