M.Tech. Energy Engineering is a 2 year post graduate degree course in which a student gets the in-depth knowledge of various facets of energy. This technical course gives the opportunity to students to perform research on various areas like Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Solar PV and Thermal, Solar Energy and Biomass and Bio-Fuels, under expert guidance.
Minimum eligibility that is required to get entry into this technical degree course is a B.Tech. /BE /B.Sc. degree with minimum 55% in aggregate. And the course fees which is to be paid ranges from 50,000 INR to 1.5 lakhs per year.
The scope of employment after completing master’s degree is very big for Energy Engineers. They can find jobs in both private as well as govt. sector and can work as a Sales leader, Research analyst, Energy engineer, Resource manager, Energy and environment content writer and also a professor. Top companies recruiting energy engineers in market are Reliance industries, Cairn, Adani, Essar and Technip and can expect a starting salary of around 1 lakh to 4 lakh per annum.
