Kashmir University M.Ed admission 2024 is open now. The last date to apply is May 30, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website @kashmiruniversity.net. Admissions to M.Ed will be based on the Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET) scores. Kashmir University MEd Course Highlights

The M.Ed Entrance Test would consist of 60 questions in total, MCQ-based. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
Kashmir University charges INR 15,000 for its M.Ed course.
The duration of the program is two years.
Fresh B.Ed graduates can apply as well for the M.Ed course, but they should have at least 55% marks in UG degree.
Students need to get 96 credits in two years to graduate.

Kashmir University MEd Eligibility

In order to be eligible for M.Ed admission at Kashmir University, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

The candidate must have three years of teaching experience with a B.Ed degree from any recognized university.
Candidates who don't have teaching experience but have secured 55% marks in their B. Ed can also apply for the program. (Seats are reserved for new B. Ed graduates).

Kashmir University MEd Admission Criteria

Admission to M.Ed is based on the Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET). The selection will be done on the basis of KUET scores and academic qualification of applicants.

Kashmir University MEd Application Process

Step-1: The candidate is required to visit the official website of KU and then click on the link option ‘Admissions’. Read all the information carefully that is provided for registration and submission of the form.
Step-2: Before submitting the online application form, the candidate needs to register themselves with the system, click on ‘Register as the Student’ and don't forget the Id and Password.
After the registration is done, go for the online application, enter the registration number, and go next.
Enter all the required details and upload the latest passport size photo and click next.
Select the desired preferences.
A total of 750 INR has to be paid for submitting the form for one particular subject and 250 INR for each subsequent program using online mode.
After the formalities are done, check for the ‘Application Status’ and ensure that the status is ‘Fees received’, otherwise, the form will be rejected.

Course Structure and Credit Requirements

The total number of required credits for a two-year program of M.Ed is 96.
The total credit is 22 with Departmental centric elective and a generic elective or open elective for the first semester.
For the second semester, the total credit is 26 with departmental centric elective of which the student has to opt any two courses, which includes:
- Guidance and Counseling
- J & K history and Problem of Education.
- Mental Hygiene
For the third semester, the total credit required is 22 with Departmental centric elective of which the student has to choose two courses which are as follows:
- Social Psychology
- Creativity and Education
- Social Education
The student has to opt for either a generic elective or an open elective.
For the fourth semester, the total credit is 26 with Departmental centric elective of which the students have to choose any two courses which are as follows:
- Value Education
- Curriculum Development
- Special Education
- Dissertation (to be decided by the Department)
