Kashmir University BA LLB admission 2023 is ongoing. Admission to the program is based on Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET). BALLB entrance test will now be conducted on July 19, 2023. To be admitted to BA LLB program a candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. BA-LLB is a five year integrated program. Total intake capacity is 50 seats+15 self-finance seats. It contains both law courses as well as non-law courses. The non-law courses include International, Constitutional, Family, Corporate, Labour, Environmental, Administrative, Human Rights and Local Laws. New law courses such as Media and Law, Forensic Science and Law, Journalism, Mass Communication, Biodiversity, Health Care, Educational, International Criminal, Competition Law etc., have been introduced in the last five years. Check Kashmir University Admission 2023

Kashmir University BA LLB Eligibility 

The students applying for BA-LLB course must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students should have passed in their previous examination i.e., 12th examination in any stream or its equivalent examination recognized by the university.
  • Students who are applying in open merit should have a minimum of 45% and 40% for reserved category in their qualifying examination.

Kashmir University BA LLB Admission Criteria 

Selection Criteria 

  • Applicants are selected on the basis of the Kashmir University Entrance Test-KUET. 
  • After the entrance exam a merit list will be prepared and will be announced by the Kashmir University on its official website.
  • Admission will be processed through the merit list. After that, a second merit list will be announced which is for self-financed seats.

How to apply for the BA LLB course? 

  • Visit the official website: kashmiruniversity.in
  • After that, register and generate user-id and password.
  • Once registration is completed, login to fill the application form.
  • Fill-up the form with the basic and required details and upload the photograph.
  • Select the desired preferences such as college priority, course priority etc.,
  • Pay the amount of INR 750/- (application fee–INR .250/- and entrance exam fee– INR 500/-) for one course and INR 250 for each course selected.
  • On successful completion of fee payment, the student can submit the application and can view the application status by their user-id and password.
  • Students are advised to take printouts of their application form for future references.

Kashmir University BA LLB Course Details

  • BALLB is a five year integrated course which has two semesters for each year.
  • In each semester there is a six theory paper for a total of 100 marks in each paper. 
  • In the final year, a student should do the internship and submit the report on the completed internship. 
  • Moreover, there is a case-study for the students in the pre-final year. 
  • The marks are distributed separately for each case-study.

Ques: Is BA LLB better than LLB at Kashmir University?

Ans: BA-LLB is a five year integrated course whereas LLB is a three year course. For admission to BA LLB, a pass in 12th standard exam with minimum of 45% is required. But for LLB the student should complete their bachelor degree. Both courses have their own importance.

Ques: Will I get a refund if I leave Kashmir University BA LLB program after enrolling?

Ans: If a student doesn't want to join the programme, they can seek a refund. Full paid amount can be refunded only when the student claims for a refund 15 days before the late date of admission. 80% of the amount is refunded when the student claims for refunded after 15 days of joining. 50% of the amount is refunded when the student claims for a refund between 15 to 30 days after joining. No refund will be made after more than 30 days of joining the programme.
