About Saurashtra University

Saurashtra University has multiple departments offering several courses at UG, PG and Doctoral levels. All the courses are offered in diverse disciplines. It has 29 postgraduate departments and 238 affiliated colleges. Candidates seeking admission to any of the courses, need to appear for certain entrance exams. The university also grants admission on the basis of merit and for some courses the university itself conducts entrance exams. For the rest of the courses, few national level entrance exams like NEET PG, GCET are accepted by the university.

The application mode of the university is offline. To apply for admission to Saurashtra University students need to buy the application form from the admission office of the university.

Saurashtra University is State University, accredited Grade 'A' by NAAC. It is one of the pioneering universities in Gujarat. It was established in 1967, after the Saurashtra University Act was passed by the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat in 1965. With the leadership & guidance of all the dynamic, highly qualified faculty members the university has bagged 71st ranking by QS World ranking 2020. The university is approved by UGC.

Situated at Rajkot, the university campus is spread over 363 acres. According to the reviews, the basic amenities which can be required by the students like hostel, central library, health center, international student cell and a lot more facilities are offered by the institution.

Saurashtra University has a Placement & Training Cell which works efficiently so that the students of the university get placed in the top-notch companies. The cell prepares the students with all the required knowledge and skills to face the corporate world. Library: The library of the university was started in 1967. The central library has a good stock of books, periodicals along with e-journals. There are a total number of 4600 e-journals. It functions with a collection of over 216130 books.
Hostel: Saurashtra University has 3 boys and 4 girls hostels with all the basic amenities such as wifi connection, dining hall, sports equipment etc. The accommodation facility of the university is quite impressive in affordable price. Hostel charges INR 2000.
Sports Complex: The university has a sports complex which is Sardar Patel Sports Complex. The sports complex is well equipped with all required equipment. This complex is published by the university's Physical Education Department.

Need graduation for course eligibility. application form, application fees, and application dates are all you can find on their website. yes! There are benefits for reservations, for OBC, ST, and SC. No need for improvement in the admission process.
