Gujarat Vidyapith is an educational institution founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920. Gujarat Vidyapith is a UGC recognized deemed University. The institution offers UG programs like B.A., B.Sc., B.Ed., BPES, B.P.Ed., and B.Lib.I.Sc. The PG programs include M.A., M.Ed., M.P.Ed., M.Lib.I.Sc., MSW, M.Sc., MCA, and MBA. The University also offers courses like M.Phil, Ph.D., PGD and Certificate programs.
Admission to these programs is conducted directly by applying to the University. For most UG programs, the candidate is selected on the basis of merit. For programs like B.Ed. Hindi, student would have to appear for the admission test conducted by the University. Admission to PG programs like MCA and MBA is based on the entrance test by the University. The M.Phil and Ph.D. also require the candidates to appear for an entrance test.
Most of the UG programs are of three years duration. The B.Ed. the course is of two years duration and the B.P.Ed. & B.Lib.I.Sc. are of one-year duration. The PG programs are of two years duration except for MCA and M.Lib.I.Sc. The MCA program takes three years to complete and the M.Lib.I.Sc. takes only one year to complete.

Gujarat Vidyapith offers a variety of undergraduate programs including Physical Education and Library & Information Sciences. The B.A., B.Sc., and BPES programs take three years to complete while the B.Ed. the program takes two years to complete. The remaining courses take only one year to complete.
For the B.A., B.Sc., and BPES programs, the candidate must be a 10+2 graduate. For the rest of the programs, the candidates may be graduates of any discipline. It should also be noted that for the B.Sc. program, the candidates must be of the Science stream in 10+2.
For admission into the B.Ed. Hindi course (which is NCTE approved), the candidates must also appear for an admission test conducted by the University. After clearing the admission test, the qualified candidates may have to attend a personal interview before the final selection

The candidates who are selected will have to submit the required documents and fulfill other formalities. The candidates are also required to bring a copy of their filled-in and submitted admission form at the time of admission.
Gujarat Vidyapith PG programs include the usual programs like MA, M.Ed., MSW, and M.Sc. The institution also offers a postgraduate degree in Library Sciences and Physical Education. Most of the programs under the PG course take about two years to complete, while the M.Lib.I.Sc. takes only one-year to complete.

The MBA offered by the University has a specialization in Rural Management and takes about two years to complete. The candidate must be a graduate of any discipline with a minimum of 45% to be considered eligible.
The MCA program is a full-time three-year program. The candidate must be a graduate with at least 40% marks with Second Class with the first trial to be eligible.
For admission to both these programs, the candidates must attend an objective type entrance test set by the University. The candidates who clear the test will have to appear for another round of group discussion and personal interview. Selection will be done strictly on the basis of merit.

Candidates who are selected by the institution after the personal interview will have to finish other formalities as required by the University. The University offers a three-semester course leading to M.Phil in 21 subjects and Ph.D. in the same courses except for Physics, Chemistry, Jainism, and Buddhism. The duration of these courses depend on the specialization one chooses but normally the programs take 3-5 years to complete.
For admission into these courses, the candidate must pass the qualifying examination. The qualified candidates have to attend a personal interview before final admission.
