NUEPA was established in 1962 by MHRD, Government of India. It’s a premier government institution which deals with research in planning and management of education. NUEPA offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in Educational Policy, Planning and Administration both from national and international perspectives.

NUEPA offers M.Phil degree for a period of two-years in four educational areas. The total intake is 20 students to be selected through entrance test conducted by the institutions. The final selection is done after personal interview round conducted for the short-listed candidates.
The minimum eligibility requirement is a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or allied disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates possessing master’s degree in other disciplines may apply as well provided they have work or teaching experience in educational planning, policy and administration.

Key Points:
The university also offers admission to Ph.D. program in four areas of research. Interested candidates can get themselves enrolled in full-time or part-time program. The selection of the candidates is carried on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination and personal interview.
The candidates possessing M.Phil degree in a relevant discipline are eligible for admission. Also, those who possess brilliant academic credentials in social or allied disciplines along with paper published in reputed journals are also considered eligible.

Key Points:
The application form can be obtained from NUEPA admission office or can be downloaded from the official website. A non-refundable application fee of INR 200 (INR 100 for SC/ST) has to be remitted in the form of DD issued in favor of ‘Registrar, NUEPA’, payable at New Delhi.
Candidates may also obtain the form via post or purchase in person. The duly filled in application form along with three copies of research proposal (2500 words) should be sent by registered post to the given address:

NUEPA Fellowships
M.Phil and Full-time Ph.D. candidates will be granted NUEPA fellowships. NET qualified candidates with JRF will be awarded the same by the institution in accordance with the norms of UGC. The continuation of fellowship is subject to progress report of the scholars duly approved by his/her supervisor.
