Osmania University has set up a few eligibility criteria for admission in PG courses. Admission to candidates seeking admission in Osmania University must match these requirements to pursue M.A. in Economics. Osmania University also conducts its Entrance examination called OUCET (CPGET) at the university level for admissions. Aspirants must have to complete their 12th with a minimum aggregate of 55% in any stream from any recognized board.

Candidates seeking admission hold a Bachelor's degree of B.A. in Economics or any other Bachelor's degree with an aggregate of 50% from any institute or university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Aspiring candidates must have taken and cleared the Entrance examination called Osmania University Common Entrance Test (OUCET) or Common Post Graduation Entrance Test (CPGET) conducted by the university with a good rank.
