KL University Admission 2024: UG, PG, Courses, Fee Structure, Application Form, Cut off, Eligibility, Selection Process

KL (Deemed to be) University offers various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctorate levels. The university also offers Integrated B.Tech and M.Tech by Research programs in different specializations. KL (Deemed to be) University follows a common application process for all the courses. Students can apply online or offline on the payment of INR. 1000/- as application fee.

• B. Tech, Integrated B.Tech, and B.Arch admissions are based on the marks in Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the university itself, followed by a counseling session.
• Candidates with a valid score in JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ EAMCET or any other state-level engineering entrance examination are also eligible for admission.
• NATA qualified candidates can also apply for the B.Arch program.
• For the B.Pharm program, the candidates have to secure a valid rank in AP EAMCET or any other state-level entrance.
• B.Sc/ BHM/ BCA/ BBA & LL.B admissions are granted on the basis of performance in the university-based entrance followed by an interview.
• Merit is the only criteria to secure admission in BA with IAS Training.
• M.Tech admissions are based on academic performance except for M. Tech in Atmospheric Science for which KL (Deemed to be) University conducts a special entrance test.
• Candidates have to pass in KLUMAT/APICET/CAT/MAT or XAT to secure admission in MBA courses.
• M.Sc admissions are offered on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination followed by an interview.
• KL (Deemed to be) University conducts a separate written test (Entrance Ph.D.) and interviews to offer admission in M.Phil and Ph.D. programs while UGC NET/ CSIR JRF/ GATE or SLET qualified candidates can also apply for admission.

KL University Important Dates

KL (Deemed to be) University offers B.Tech, Integrated B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B.Arch programs in various specializations at the UG level. The basic eligibility criteria are 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 60% marks in the related subject group. For admission to B.Tech, the candidate should fulfill the following required eligibility: 

• A Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 60% and above in aggregate and 60% and above in Group subjects.
• Students with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) are eligible for all B.Tech programs including Bio-Technology.
• Students with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) are eligible for B.Tech (Bio-Technology) and B.Pharmacy.

KL (Deemed to be) University- EEE qualified candidates are eligible for admission to B.Tech (Regular & Integrated) and B.Arch programs. JEE Main/ Advanced, EAMCET, and NATA (For B.Arch) qualified candidates can also apply for admission.

Key Points:

• KL (Deemed to be) University accepts the Uni-Gauge score to offer admission to the B.Tech program.
• The university also offers relaxation on the basis of merit in Sports and Cultural Activities at the time of admission to the B.Tech. program.

For the B.Arch. program, candidates must possess the following qualifications-

• 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
• A pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA)
• A pass in JEE (Main) B.Arch conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

B.Sc, BCA, BA, B.Com, LL.B, BBA & LL.B programs are offered in different schools of KL University. 10+2 pass candidates are eligible to apply for these courses except for LL.B for which Graduation degree is mandatory.

Merit-Based admission is offered in BA and LL.B courses while students have to qualify in the written test and interview to secure admission in BBA, BBA+MBA, B.Sc, BHM, BCA and B.Com programs. Final admission is granted on the basis of an interview round.

KL (Deemed to be) University Business School Admission

The minimum eligibility criteria for M.Tech. program is a relevant BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc degree with an aggregate of 55% marks. MA/ M.Com, MBA and M.Sc programs also require a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

M.Tech, MA, M.Com and M.Sc admission is based on candidates’ performance in academics followed by an interview. In case of M.Tech. program, GATE qualified candidates are also eligible to apply.

MBA program requires a valid score on KL (Deemed to be) UniversityBSAT conducted by the university or score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ICET followed by an interview.

Note 1: Application form for M.Tech in Atmospheric Sciences can be filled online by visiting the official website of the university.

Note 2: Candidates must apply online for the desired course through the link available on the official website of the university. If eligible, they will be called for further admission procedure. On the spot, admissions are offered in M.Tech/ MA/ M.Sc and M.Com (Professional) program. The candidates selected through spot admissions must complete the payment of fees and verification of documents to finalize the processing of admission.

KL (Deemed to be) University offers Ph.D. programs in full-time and part-time modes in several specializations. A master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria to file an application for these courses.

Ph.D. application forms can be filled online twice in a year, i.e. in the months of June and December. Students have to participate in the entrance test organized by the university followed by an interview. Selection is done purely on the basis of merit.

KL University Ph.D. Selection Criteria: An entrance test is conducted by the university which tests the general aptitude of the candidates as well as their attitude towards the area of research.

• Performance in the previous academic qualifications obtained.
• Performance in the personal interview conducted by the university.
• The entrance examination will cover all relevant subject matter to the specialization in question.
• The reservation is in accordance with Government regulations. Relaxation for sportspersons and armed force personnel may also be provided. The allotment is made for the physically challenged as well.
• Based on the performance, a list of selected candidates is announced. The candidates must complete the payment of fees and verification of documents timely to ensure their admission.

The application process is common for all the UG and PG courses offered by the university. It can be filled online or can be obtained in person from the admission of the university.

2. Enter all the details and complete registration. After verification of E-mail ID, login with the credentials generated 
3. Upload scanned photograph and enter the personal, academic and graduation (if required) details
4. Enter the admission test registration details
5. Upload the relevant documents
6. Pay the application fee online or through any online payment option using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking.
7. The application fee for PGDM program is INR 1000
8. Submit the application form.
9. Print the application form and acknowledgement Slip for future correspondence.

Offline Application

1. Obtain the application form in person from the admission office of the university or from the designated location.
2. Fill the application send it to the university address along with application fee in the form of DD of INR 1000/- drawn in favor of ‘KL (Deemed to be) university payable at Vijaywada or any scheduled bank.
