Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
- The candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate percentage of marks or 6.32 CGPA in Class 10 Board Examination
- The candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate percentage of marks in +2 Science
- Aggregate percentage of marks = (marks secured ÷ total marks appeared) × 100
- The candidate must secure at least 45% or more in each of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry
5% relaxation in marks would be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
The eligibility criteria for OTA category students shall be as per the guidelines of JoSAA 2023.
Entrance Exam:
- Admission is done through JEE-Mains
Reservation:
- 50% of the seats are reserved for Odisha State Students. Reservation rules meant for SC/ST and other categories are applicable to this category.

I chose btech in computer science and engineering because that's the best branch that excels in placements compared to the other four branches The faculty are good , some are chill and not strict at all except three or four teachers who comes after the first year of college Student population is very small which is good for getting opportunities for all The girls to boys ratio is 1:4 in my branch at least and other branches girls are lesser The teaching of the faculty members is not that good Again it depends, some teachers are really good and some don't teach well at all There are two main exams in one semester Mid sem and then end-sems and in between there are lab vivas and quizzes

I have many friends from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore and according to their first-hand experience of 4 years, it is concluded that it is indeed the better choice. Here’s why:
- Location: RVCE is situated in Bangalore - Silicon city of India. Here, Location is a big advantage for you because of proximity with more IT industries and metro cities.
- Peers: Students who get admission in RVCE are the topmost performers in Karnataka CET, so you will be among one of the best talents.
- Alumni network: It plays an important role while studying there and even after completing your degree. RVCE is one of the oldest and well-established colleges in Karnataka. Hence, the Alumni network is huge and quite well-settled.
- Exams: Admissions at IIIT Bhubaneshwar are solely based on JEE Mains. However, it may not be on the list of high performers of JEE as they mostly get selected in other top ITs, NITs, and IIITs.
