Jamshedpur Women's College Admission 2024: Syllabus, Merit List, Fees Structure

The college offers a number of undergraduate courses in the field of Arts, General Sciences, Accounts etc. The B.A. (H) program is offered under 15 different specializations and the B.Sc (H) program is offered under two specialization subjects.The college offers only honors courses and no general courses. All the UG courses are of three years duration.

Admission to all the UG courses are based on the merit of the candidates in the respective qualifying examinations.

• For admission to UG courses, a student should have passed the intermediate examination of Board/University or any other examination recognized by the University,
• For applying in honors courses, minimum qualifying marks in 45% in the concerned subject
• Entrance test may be conducted for selection in some subjects
• Once registration is over, students are not allowed to change their subject
• Transgender can also apply for various courses. A separate form as per UGC regulation will be provided for them.

List of UG courses:

The college offers various Postgraduate courses in the field of Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Human Rights, Library and Information Science, Yoga Therapy etc. Admission to all the Post graduate courses are based on the merit of the candidates in the respective qualifying examinations.

• The duration of all the PG courses is two years while the PG Diploma courses are of one year duration.
• The PG Diploma program in Yoga Therapy is offered with a period of one year followed by 6 months internship program.
• For M.Ed program, seats shall be reserved for SC – 10%, ST – 26%, OBC – 14%, Unreserved – 50%, and 3% seats will be reserved for physically challenged

List of PG courses:

The college offers various job-oriented vocational courses at the undergraduate level. They also teach self-employment techniques. The students can pursue higher studies in these subjects. These courses are sponsored by UGC. All these courses are for a period of three years.

Admission to these courses shall be based on merit in 10+2 or equivalent examination and the interview selection list will be prepared likewise.

List of Vocational courses:

The college offers UG and PG courses in the field of Business Administration and Management Studies. The BBA program is offered under two specializations: Finance and Human Resource with the duration of three years while the MBA program is for a period of two years.

For admission to the BBA programme, selection is done on the basis of marks obtained written test and interview.

For admission to the MBA course, the eligible candidates based on their valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT score will be shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal interview round.

The college offers Doctoral and M.Phil programmes in Gandhian Studies. The duration of M.Phil programme is one year which includes two semesters of six months duration each.

Admission to the research courses are done on the basis of interview conducted by the college. A candidate who has secured at least 55% marks in the post-graduate examination of Modern Indian Political thought in M.A. (Political Science) or Modern "India in M.A. (History) Modern Indian Philosophy in M.A. (Philosophy) or History of Economic Thought in M.A. (Economics) can apply for M.Phil.
