MIT-WPU offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Admission process for courses varies as per their requirements and specializations. For most of the courses the university accepts entrance exams scores recognized by the institute.
Admission to the B.des and B.I.D program is based on MIT-WPU Design Aptitude Test or other design level exams such as UCEED/NIFT/NATA . The College also accepts MIT-WPU DAT through UGPET .
Admission to the B.Tech program at MIT-WPU is strictly done on the basis of entrance exams such as JEE Main/MHT-CET/PERA entrance exam whereas admission to BBA, B.Sc, BA, and B.Com is on the basis of valid scores in UGPET conducted by the University followed by a Personal Interview round. MIT-WPU B.Tech Admission 2023
MIT World Peace University offers a B.Tech program (full-time) in 15 specializations. The selection of the candidates for admission is based on the entrance exam. The eligibility for Maharashtra state candidates and All India candidates is the same as mentioned below. The university also offers lateral entry to the B.Tech program with equal specializations as that of the 4-year B.Tech program. The university provides admission in all the specializations under B.Tech. Lateral Entry except for Computer Science and Business System. The B.Tech specializations are listed below:
The minimum requirement for the B.Tech. course for Maharashtra State Candidates and for seats under All India Quota is mentioned below:
For Maharashtra State Candidates
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects.
- Candidates of Maharashtra State Open Category Candidate must have secured 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for Backward Class and PWD category of Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
- Those who have passed the Diploma in Engineering and Technology with 50% marks (45% marks for Backward Class and PWD category of Maharashtra State only) are also eligible.
- Candidates who have been awarded IB Diploma or the IB Diploma Course (i.e. IB Certificate) as a qualification for entry to the professional course at the institute and is required to have passed the subjects of Physics and Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) with a minimum score of 24 credits can also apply.
All India Quota Seats
- The eligibility remains the same for All India Candidates as that of Maharashtra State Candidates. The only difference is candidates who have a Diploma in Engineering and Technology are not eligible to apply.
B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Candidates must have passed a Diploma in a relevant discipline with at least 45% marks (40% marks for Backward Class and PWD category).
Note(s):
- For admissions to Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering and Polymer Engineering students must have passed Chemistry also at Higher Level.
- Students awarded the IB Diploma should also have completed other mandatory requirements (like CAS, TOK and the EE) towards the award of IB Diploma.
- The university has identified new-age courses like Linux, Python, AI and ML, IoT, and Data Science for all BTech programs.
- Students of BTech, other than Computer Science Engineering (CE) can take a minor in Computer Engineering. To earn the minor, the student should acquire additional 20 credits defined for minor in CE.
- These credits are in addition to the mandatory 168 credits of the BTech Program in which the student is admitted.
MIT-WPU B.Tech Selection Criteria
- The university selects applicants based on the MHT-CET/ JEE Main/ PERA CET exam for the B.Tech course.
- Under the All India Quota, the university may also consider BITSAT, VITEEE, and MU OET exam scores in case of any vacant seat.
- Candidates need to confirm their admission by paying INR 1,20,000/- via POS or Demand Draft in the name of "Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University" as a Seat Acceptance fee.
- Candidates also need to submit the required documents in original.
- Selection for B.Tech. Lateral Entry Admission to B.Tech. Lateral Entry is based on the merit in the qualifying examination.
Key Points:
- If the seat remains vacant due to non-allotment and non-reporting for admission then such seat will be considered for allotment in subsequent counselling round.
- For First Year of Engineering and Technology Admissions, the Diploma candidates shall be considered for allotment only in the last round of counselling.
- The seat will get rejected if the candidate fails to report in person for Seat Acceptance.
- Allotted Seat will be cancelled if, at any time, any of the documents or certificates is found to be invalid or fraudulent and/or the Candidate does not meet the eligibility

The basic eligibility for these courses is a pass in 10+2 with 50% marks. For courses such as Polytechnic and Diploma in Photography, candidates must have passed class 10th with minimum required marks. A graduate degree is required with 50% marks for B.Ed. and LLB course.

MIT-WPU M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for M.Tech. course, candidates must have passed a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50% marks (SC/St candidates are eligible to apply irrespective of their marks/ CPI).
- Sponsored candidates must have a minimum 2 years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/company/ industry/ educational and/or research institute / any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is sought.
MIT-WPU M.Tech Selection Criteria
- Candidates are evaluated for admission based on their GATE score and work experience.
- If candidates do not possess a valid GATE score and work experience then the university will conduct a written test and interview, for any vacant seats after the above admission process.

MIT-WPU MBA program is offered in the full-time mode for 2-years of course work. MIT World Peace University also offers Ph.D. course under 26 specializations. Candidates who have a Master’s degree with 55% marks in relevant discipline can apply for the course. Selection to the course is based on Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) followed by Personal Interview. Those who have a valid score in UGC NET/SET/JRF are exempted from PET.
