Sapthagiri College of Engineering Admission 2024: Dates, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

The college offers B.E. program in seven disciplines. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent examination) with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and any one among Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/CS/Electronics as the optional subject. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in aggregate (40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).

Selection is based on JEE Main, KCET or COMEDK UGET. Candidates must have appeared in at least one of these entrance examinations for getting admission in the college. Admission will be through counselling based on the rank candidates have secured in any of the three entrance examinations.

Key Points for B.E. Admission:

• The college also offers lateral entry (direct admission to 2^nd/3^rd year of engineering) to those candidates who have completed their diploma or has equivalent qualification as recognized by VTU with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).
• Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination need to obtain an eligibility certificate offered by VTU (not needed in case candidates have passed the examination from university or board of Karnataka).
• Marks of Class 12 will not be added by the college for the calculation of merit.

Sapthagiri College of Engineering offers M.Tech in CSE and VLSI Design and Embedded Systems (ECE). Admission to M.Tech programs is based on state level Karnataka PGCET examination followed by state level counselling. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in B.E/B.Tech with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).

Key Points for M.Tech Admission:

• Marks of graduation will not be added by the college for the calculation of merit.
• Karnataka PGCET 2021 is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority on July 1, 2021 for M.Tech programs in the offline mode.
