Master of Computer Applications [MCA] From BIT Mesra, Ranchi

BIT Mesra MCA admission 2024 will begin in March-April. MCA admission at BIT Mesra is based on the BIT MCA entrance exam conducted by the institute. 

The BIT MCA syllabus consists of 4 subjects namely Mathematics, Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, and English. This entrance test will comprise 120 questions. 

BIT Mesra offers a 2-year-long MCA program in Computer Application. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in BCA or BSc Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications to be eligible for this program at BIT Mesra. The provisional selection will be based on the performance of candidates in the MCA entrance test. The institute offers a total of 60 seats to its MCA aspirants and the total course fee amounts to INR 5.79 Lakhs. 

BIT Mesra MCA Eligibility Criteria

BIT Mesra offers an MCA program at the PG level for a duration of 2 years. Candidates will be given admission to this course only on meeting the following eligibility criteria:

• The candidates should have passed class 10+2, or equivalent examination as one of the subjects in Computer Science / Mathematics / Information Practices.
• The candidate should have completed his graduation with the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Computer Applications degree
  • B.Sc. in Information Technology /computer science / Electronics, or 
  • B.Sc. degree with any of Statistics or Mathematics subjects.
• The candidates should have passed the above-mentioned qualifications with minimum score marks of 55% for general and 50% (for SC/ ST/ PWD).
• The candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply, and if selected, their admission will be provisional. 

BIT Mesra MCA Selection Criteria

Candidates have to appear for the BIT MCA entrance test conducted by the institute itself. Candidates who will be shortlisted may be called for verification of documents and admission if the institute has any remaining vacant seats.

BIT Mesra MCA Admission 2024

BIT Mesra Admission 2024 will be subjected to fulfilling the eligibility requirements along with clearing the BIT MCA exam. However, candidates’ admission will be automatically canceled if:

• If any student provides any wrong information
• The student fails to submit their final degree/qualifying examination or fails to secure the minimum marks required.

• A print-out of the completed online form (original copy)
• One recent colored photo – [same as uploaded on the form]
• Payment receipt showing application fee of INR 2,500/- (General/ OBC) and INR 1,500/- (SC/ST) candidates (non-refundable)
• Class 10 pass certificate (as proof of age)
• Marksheet Class 10
• Marksheet Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent
• Marksheets of graduation, OR Mark Sheets up to a pre-final year for candidates graduating in 2021. The candidate must also bring a certificate from the Principal of the Institute stating that:
• They should also carry a photocopy of their completed online form.
