Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academics

  • Students must attain a 2:2 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree. Any degree subject will be considered. 

Indian Student Eligibility

  • 60%; or CGPA 6.7 (10 point system); or CGPA 6 (7 point system); or CGPA 3 (4 point system) - including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
  • (55% or CGPA 6.1 (10 point system) or CGPA 5.5 (7 point system) or CGPA 2.67 (4 point system) for institutes of national importance/LLB) including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
  • Non-native English speakers must achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no component less than 5.5

VISA & Work Study

VISA

  • Applicants from non-European countries who seek an international degree at Swansea University require a student visa. Once the student is accepted by the university, he /she should apply for a ‘short-term study visa (for a duration of fewer than 6 months)’ or ‘Tier-4 (General) student visa’.
  • The application needs to be made through the UK Embassy or UK High Commission at their place of permanent residence. One must apply for a visa 3 months prior to the commencement of the course.

An applicant needs to pay the visa application fee before applying for a student visa and submit the following documents:

  • Acceptance Letter
  • CAS Number (Issued by the university)
  • Proof of Financial support
  • Passport
  • Evidence of English Language Proficiency, if required.
  • Once done with all the formalities, schedule and attend the visa interview.
