Once you have completed the foundation year, you progress to a fully-qualifying degree, satisfying the standards of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board for legal training.
The course is suitable if you don't meet the entry requirements for our LLB (Hons) Law course. You share the first year with other Business, Law, Criminology and Psychology foundation students, before moving on to your subject specific degree.

In the foundation year, you build your subject specific and general business knowledge alongside developing academic skills to prepare you for starting your subject specific undergraduate degree. You will be provided with an overview of the key concepts, ideas, approaches, research and general knowledge to the topic areas and will have the opportunity to question, debate and discuss these within your seminar groups.å You will receive feedback regularly from your tutors, peers and through guided self-reflection to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to undertake the various module assessments.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- High school leaving certificate required
- two GCE/VCE A level pass
- International baccalaureate
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 overall with minimum 5.5 in each category
- TOEFL iBT: minimum 79 with minimum 17 in listening, 20 in speaking, 18 in reading and 17 in writing
- Pearson: minimum 52 with minimum 51 in each section
- MELAB: minimum 80
Indian Student Specific Requirements:
- Score of standard XII exam with 65 percent
