Master of Science in Genetics at the University of Nottingham is a 4 years program.

Geneticists study the genetic basis of life in order to solve modern-day problems such as human disease and threats to wildlife populations.
The practical learning and laboratory experience start in year one. The lab skills will improve further in year three with a year-long research project.
MSci degrees are undergraduate-level courses that last for four years and have an integrated master's qualification. They are the equivalent to a bachelors degree plus a masters level qualification
The courses are very flexible, with the option to transfer between life science courses at the end of year one.
Approximately 18 hours of contact time per week split between tutorials, lectures, and practicals, with 18 hours of self-study.
students will study in the School of Life Sciences building on University Park Campus and the Medical School, which is embedded in the Queen’s Medical Centre. University has large lecture theatres, smaller seminar rooms, and large multidisciplinary laboratories.
Exams happen twice a year at the end of each semester.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, usually in a relevant subject area. This should be equivalent to at least a UK ‘Upper Second Class (2:1)’ or ‘Lower Second Class (2:2)’ degree.
Students from Indian Universities should score 60% in Upper Second Class (2:1)’ or 55% in ‘Lower Second Class (2:2)’ degrees. These are the college minimum scores and particular departments may seek grades at a higher level.
Applicant should hold a GPA of 3.0 (Upper Second Class) or 2.6 (Lower Second Class) out of 4.0 or hold a GPA of 6.0 (Upper Second Class) or 5.5 (Lower Second Class) out of 10.
