The first year of this Biomedical Sciences programme from the University of Greenwich is intended to be a foundation for the more advanced studies in subsequent years. Approximately one quarter of the programme is taken up with practical-based courses that build students' skills in this area. Assessment

Students are assessed through formal examinations, presentations and case study-based reports, together with critical evaluation of data, problem-solving exercises, laboratory reports and thesis.

The programme is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science and the Royal Society of Biology. Accredited degree programmes contain a solid academic foundation in biological knowledge and key skills, and prepare graduates to address the needs of employers.
