- Students gain knowledge of their chosen specialism through the major research project, alongside basic skills for planning research and the written, verbal and visual communication of science. The acquisition and critical analysis of primary scientific literature are essential, as is experiencing the multidisciplinary and collaborative nature of bioscience research.
- Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits.
- The program consists of three compulsory modules (45 credits), one optional module (15 credits), and a research dissertation (120 credits).
- Upon successful completion of 180 credits, students will be awarded an MRes in Biosciences.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a minimum of an upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, life sciences, or related subject area, or a medical degree (MBBS), or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum overall CGPA of 7.75/10, 6.25/8.0, 5.75/7.0, 4.25/6.0, 3.3/4.0, or 60% where a GPA scale is not used.
- The overall mark required is dependent on the subject and the ranking of the institution at which the degree has been taken.
Scores Required
- The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) results are not required.
