The program provides students with the opportunity to follow a course of study unique in the UK. Students will explore a range of current issues and debates, including:

Discussions about gender inequalities in access to schooling, and in experiences and achievements within and through school and other forms and sites of education
Femininities, masculinities, and gender relations within education
Links between gender, education, and work Ways in which the state and society (historical and contemporary) shape the politics of gender, education, and development
Approaches to social justice, gender, and education
The program consists of two core modules (60 credits), two optional modules (60 credits), and a dissertation (60 credits).
Upon successful completion of 180 credits, students will be awarded a MA in Education, Gender, and International Development.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a minimum of a second-class UK Bachelor's degree or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, and demonstrate commitment and genuine interest in issues relating to gender, education, and international development.
Applicants with a qualification of an equivalent standard in another quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics, or physics, may also be considered.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

Indian Students Eligibility:

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum overall CGPA of 6.75/10, 5.75/8.0, 5.25/7.0, 3.75/6.0, 3.0/4.0, or 55% where a GPA scale is not used
The overall mark required is dependent on the subject and the ranking of the institution at which the degree has been taken.
