  • Architectural Engineering degrees first began at Leeds in the 1970s when we were the first UK university to offer such a degree course.
  • The current Architectural Engineering courses are truly interdisciplinary, designed to produce engineers who can design buildings by integrating the principles and practice of architecture, building physics and structural engineering.
  • Students will work on a series of studio-based building design projects, many of which will be undertaken in our studio spaces. Not only will students put into practice what they have learned in lectures, laboratory classes and tutorials, but they will also build scale physical models and develop graphical presentation and computer modelling skills using industry standard software.
